We are delighted to announce that the PITCH Fund has received
its 2023 GRESB results, with PITCH gaining an additional “Green Star” from
2022, to achieve a four “Green Star” status. The Fund’s score has increased by
over 10%, achieving 83 out of 100, and ranking 5th in a peer group
of 100 participants.
GRESB (The Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark) is the dominant global
ESG benchmark for real estate and infrastructure investments covering USD 7.2
trillion of gross asset value (GAV) across 75 countries.
This is the 10th consecutive year that PITCH has taken part in GRESB, improving
its peer group ranking to 5th out of 100, having previously ranked
18th in 2022. The continued improvement in PITCH’s score reflects
the hard work and continued efforts by the team to engage with tenants and improve
our data coverage, quality and sustainability credentials of the portfolio,
which is fundamental to driving forward our net zero commitment and strategy.
In order to achieve this goal, we continue to focus our efforts on:
- Buying resilient and
sustainable assets to ensure we are future proofing the portfolio.
- Refurbishing assets to improve energy and carbon
performance and meet best practice sustainability standards.
- Progressing our solar strategy,
installing solar installations where feasible and engaging with tenants to
progress standalone projects.
- Collecting data and improving
data coverage and quality to support decarbonisation pathway analysis. An
update on progress will be provided in PITCH’s annual ESG Report next
year.
