As investors, we try to be responsible stewards of our clients’ assets; we also aim to invest in successful companies. Pushing for progress in workplace mental health is a moral and economic necessity.

The Covid-19 pandemic has exacerbated an already declining state in people's mental health.  Employees and companies alike now have to grapple with scores of new demands and pressures upon them, juggling various pressures from home.

Companies lack the framework and tools to effectively manage, monitor, or report on their approach to employee mental health. CCLA’s Corporate Mental Health Benchmark aims to address this gap.  It will enable investors to assess and measure how listed companies are looking after their employee’s mental health.

CCLA is currently running a public consultation on the benchmark’s proposed scope, definitions, and assessment criteria.  To find out more visit: https://www.ccla.co.uk/mental-health-engagement-0
