Tackling the cost-of-living crisis: insights on managing through challenging times.

Welcome to our autumn edition of Charity Matters.

Although we’re hopefully now through the worst of the pandemic, charities continue to face a myriad of challenges, including the cost-of-living crisis and rising energy costs, the continued need to play their part in the fight against climate change, and the various complexities associated with the increasing trends towards everything digital.

In this edition, John Brady of St Andrew’s Hospice and HighGround’s Anna Baker Cresswell share their thoughts on how the cost-of-living crisis is affecting their charities, and how they’re responding. Meanwhile, Mark Salt of SaveMoneyCutCarbon suggests some ways in which charities can cut their surging energy bills while boosting their ESG credentials, and John Fitzgerald from the Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations (SCVO) talks about how charities can enhance their cyber security capabilities.
