The holiday season is upon us, and company Christmas parties are a time for celebration.
It’s a chance to get people together, but don’t forget that the work Christmas party and other work festivities are an extension of the workplace.
These events can pose legal risks if employers don’t put protections in place. Employers now need to comply with the new statutory duty to take reasonable steps to prevent sexual harassment in the workplace.
This new duty came into force on 26 October 2024, and whilst many employers are already aware of the pitfalls of Christmas parties, this new legislation goes further than before.
Join us for a short free webinar with our Head of Employment Law, Debbie Coyne, on Tuesday, 3 December, from 10 am – 10:30 am, where she'll discuss:
✅ Things employers should consider when planning your workplace Christmas party
✅ Reasonable steps employers can take to mitigate sexual harassment at workplace events
✅ Ensure a safe and enjoyable party for everyone
Following the presentation, there will be a Q&A session to answer any questions you might have.
