The COVID-19 pandemic put many of our everyday habits and luxuries into perspective. It forced a move to digital and inspired a new appreciation of the small, the local and an awareness of the systems and routines for which we previously took for granted. It also provided the opportunity for us to reflect on some of our previous choices, review our national commitments to climate change and award us the opportunity to build back better, and greener. With the majority of the world economy now committed to net zero targets, renewable energy prioritised and hybrid or electric vehicles becoming commonplace, the world is starting to enforce the important groundwork to protect and restore nature.
